Before uploading your images and attachments, ensure the following conditions are met:

  • The images must be in .png or .jpeg (.jpg) format.
  • The file size for each image should not exceed 10 MB (10,000 kb).

To upload images or attachments for your property, follow these steps:

  • Login to your account by selecting the "Login" button at the top right corner. Enter your credentials and proceed by clicking "Login". If the "Property" button isn't highlighted in orange, click on it.
  • Select your property using the drop-down menu. Your listed commercial and residential properties on Canhotot.app will be displayed accordingly.
  • Click on the "Edit Property" button. Verify the property details and scroll down to find the "Continue" button at the bottom of the page.
  • On the following page, you can upload your images by adhering to the given instructions.
  • After uploading all necessary images, click the "Continue" button at the bottom to save these images to your listing.

To make changes to your existing property listing, please follow these steps:

  • Access your account by clicking the "Manage my Account" button located at the top right corner of the screen. Enter your username and password and press the "Login" button. If you're already logged in, select the "My Account" button at the top right of the screen. If the "Property" button is not highlighted in orange, click on it.
  • Decide whether your property is a "Business Property" or a "Residential Property" and select the property using the corresponding drop-down menu.
  • Press the "Edit Property" button to start editing your property listing.
  • After making the necessary changes, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the "Continue" button to save your updates.

*Note: Even if no new images are added or existing ones deleted, you must press the "Continue" button again to ensure all changes are saved.

To remove or deactivate a property that has been leased or is no longer on the market, follow these steps:

  • Sign into your account by clicking on the "Manage my Account" button at the top right of the screen. Enter your username and password and press the "Login" button. If you're already logged in, select the "My Account" button at the top right of the screen. If the "Property" button isn't highlighted in orange, click on it.
  • Select whether the property is a "Business Property" or a "Residential Property" and choose the property from the drop-down menu.
  • Click on the "Remove Property" button. A confirmation pop-up will appear, providing details and asking if you wish to Deactivate or Remove your property. Follow the instructions based on your choice.

Note: Removing a property incurs a fee if you decide to relist the same property before the end of your contract with Canhotot.app.

Activating/Deactivating a Property:

  • Access your account and navigate as described above to the "Property" section.
  • Choose your property type and select the property you wish to modify.
  • On the property listing page, locate the Listing Status option at the top right.
  • Select the desired status (active or inactive) from the drop-down menu and click the "Continue" button at the bottom of the page.
  • On the following page, you'll be prompted about adding images. Regardless of changes, click "Continue" again to ensure your settings are saved.

*Important: There is no fee associated with deactivating or reactivating a property during your contract term with Canhotot.app.

To add a property to Canhotot.app, follow these steps:

If you are not yet a member, click the "Become a Member" button at the top right of the home page and submit your details.

For existing members wishing to list a new property, proceed as follows:

  • Sign in to your account by selecting the "Manage my Account" button at the top right. Enter your username and password, then click "Login". If already logged in, click "My Account". Ensure the "Property" button is selected if not already highlighted in orange.
  • Choose "Add Business Property" or "Add Residential Property" according to the type of property you're listing.
  • You will then be asked to choose between posting a paying ad or a free ad.

For paying ads, prior to listing, purchase a credit. Select the listing duration for your property:

  • For Residential Listings, options include Monthly (1 month), Quarterly (3 months), Bi-Yearly (6 months), and Yearly (12 months).
  • For Commercial Listings, options include Quarterly (3 months), Bi-Yearly (6 months), and Yearly (12 months).
  • Click "Buy Now" for your chosen listing type. For multiple listings, use the "Purchase" option next to Statistics.
  • After selecting the number of listings and their duration, a summary page will provide payment options: Credit Card, Certified Check, PayPal, Telephone Payment.
  • Upon successful payment, you'll receive credits for the listings you've purchased, indicating the number of properties you can advertise.
  • To list your property, click the "Add" button for the purchased ad type.

For free ads, simply click "Add" for the chosen listing type, then fill in and submit the form. If any required information is missing, the page will highlight these fields in red. Complete these before proceeding.

  • Next, you'll have the option to add images to your listing. Follow the page instructions for uploading.
  • After adding all images, click "Continue" to save your listing and images.
  • A message will inform you that your listing is under review and will be posted upon approval within 24 to 48 hours. Once live, you'll receive a confirmation email from Canhotot.app.

If you do not receive confirmation, contact Customer Support for assistance.

If you're already logged in, click on the "My Account" button at the upper right. If the "Property" button isn't highlighted in orange, click on it.
  • Select whether the property is a "Business Property" or a "Residential Property", and choose the property from the dropdown menu. Then click on the "Edit Property" button.
  • On the property listing page, locate the Listing Status option at the top right.
  • Use the dropdown menu to select the desired listing status (active or inactive) and click "Continue" at the bottom of the page to apply the changes.
  • On the following page, you might be prompted about adding images. Remember, even if no changes to images are needed, you must click "Continue" again to ensure all updates are saved.

*Note: Changing the status of a property to deactivate or reactivate it during your contract term with Canhotot.app incurs no fees.

You can add a website link to your listing in two ways:

First method:

  • Access your account by clicking the "Manage my Account" button at the top right of the screen. Enter your login details and press "Login". If you're already logged in, select the "My Account" button at the top right.
  • If the "Account" button is not already orange, click on it.
  • In the "Primary Contact Information" section, there's a "Website" field for your website's URL, such as Canhotot.app.
  • Enter the complete website address and click "Update" at the bottom to save. This link will automatically appear with each of your property listings in the future.

Second method:

  • Log in as described above and navigate to the "Property" section if it's not already selected.
  • Choose "Business Property" or "Residential Property Info" and select the property you wish to edit.
  • Click "Edit Property" to update your listing.
  • In the "Required Information" section, there's an option to "Provide a Website link for more information regarding this property:" Here, you can add a specific link that will only appear with this listing.
  • Ensure to click "Continue" at the bottom to save your updates, even if you haven't added or removed images.

*Note: You must click the "Continue" button again to ensure all changes are saved, regardless of image modifications.

To manage your Saved Listings, follow these instructions:

  • Sign into your account by selecting the "Manage my Account" button located at the top right corner of the screen. Input your username and password then press "Login". If you're already logged in, click the "My Account" button at the top right.
  • Navigate to the "Preferences" section by clicking its button at the top of the screen.
  • To view a Saved Listing, select the desired listing using the appropriate dropdown menu (Residential or Commercial) and then click the "View" button.
  • To delete a Saved Listing, choose the listing you want to remove with the suitable dropdown menu (Residential or Commercial) and click on the "Remove" button.

To guarantee the precise mapping of your property's location, the address provided must be a singular, legitimate street address or a basic intersection. Follow these guidelines for entering property addresses correctly:

Example of a correct address:
5879 Henri-Bourassa Est
This format is direct and allows the mapping system to accurately locate the property. If the property spans a range, like "5875-5879 Henri Bourassa Est", only input one number from the range.

If the property is associated with multiple street addresses, input just one in the address field. Additional addresses can be mentioned in the "Property Description" section.

Avoid unnecessary symbols:
Refrain from using special characters like the number sign (#), the "@" symbol, ampersands (&), excessive dashes, or parentheses within the address.

Intersection notation:
Do not use phrases like "Northeast Corner of", "NEC", or "N.E.C." as they can disrupt the geocoding process.

Addresses with fractions:
An address such as "5879 1/2 Henri-Bourassa" should be simplified to "5879 Henri-Bourassa" to ensure successful mapping.
